After succeeding in one of the most prestigious French business school, Cécile decided to quit a promising career in marketing to share what she thought to have a profound meaning: Yoga. Cécile is 500 -RYT certified (in Ashtanga and Prana Flow (Vinyasa Yoga). She is also certified in Yin and Restorative Yoga. Sébastien is a physiotherapist and a graduate in osteopathy, as well as a consultant for a laboratory of exercise physiology at the University of Geneva. He is the co-founder of the “Centre Métabolique, Nutrition et Mouvement” in Carouge.
He first met yoga in 2007 and then, ten years later, during a class, he realized what yoga could teach him about himself.
He works in the promotion of health and the fight against a sedentary lifestyle. His academic and scientific training has made him aware of certain values that he still cherishes today: the absence of judgment, inclusivity, humility, rigor in the presentation of concepts and philosophy, and the availability of sources used.
These values, he found them by pushing the door of a studio carougeois. After collaborating with Claire Lalande for the creation and teaching of a yoga class open to all but designed specifically for people with a goal of weight management, he took over and developed this course alone.
He is currently working in a multidisciplinary center with several medical specialties around a gym, a yoga / pilates studio and a café restaurant. He gives several group lessons a week and private lessons at the studio Yoga de la Fonderie and in his center. He teaches Vinyasa and Hatha yoga as well as meditation.
Sébastien’s approach to anatomy is modern, scientific and transdisciplinary. Constantly questioning the proposed models, he proposes to bridge the gap between current scientific knowledge and the implications that they can have on the representation of our body.
After years of dancing and after passing my diploma in History of Art at La Sorbonne, I discovered Yoga in Los Angeles in 2002 where I learnt a lot before coming back to France. It was a revelation and became, little by little, essential in my life. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease of the liver (CBP) and after working in production, public relations and communication in the cinema area, I decided to teach yoga. It was a life-saving decision of transmission of what what good for me.
Founder of Riviera yoga studio in Nice (France) in 2014, my classes reflect experiences and are born from all the yoga practices I studied: Ashtanga , Vinyasa, Hatha, LiquidFlow, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
During my (french and english) classes, we work on alignement, anchoring to lengthen more, strengthen and find space. I wish to honore the breath, our inner music and our ability to discover our deep Self. The breath is the fundamental union between our physical and subtle body.
I believe yoga has a beneficial effect on our parasympathetic system. It releases tensions, calms, and cleans the body. We become aware of our breath (our vital energy) and our body; thanks to yoga, we can find a certain balance and an inside and outside wellness. I always add a hint of poesy, lightness and humour during practice. Let’s not take ourselves too seriously!
Professional dancer and choreographer, Giuseppe started by dedicating himself to Ashtanga yoga at the same time as his artistic activities. After major injuries due to dancing, yoga became a transformative therapy. During his numerous travels to discover and learn about yoga, between New York and Bali, he practiced and trained in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Therapeutic Hatha. Later, his passion and fascination for the intimate relationships between the bodies (emotional, neurologic and physiologic) drive him toward the T.R.E method for which he is now certified and Swiss Provider. He teaches Hatha and Vinyasa yoga with passion and kindness, encouraging the students to use the fluctuations of the asanas to anchor more, to develop the capacity to listen respectfully to the changes in their body and to connect to the nourishing breath.
